1-2 weeks
· Minerals, Rocks, Mapping and Landforms -Chapters 1-3
· 5-6 weeks
· Plate Tectonics, Earthquakes, Volcanoes, Weathering
Erosion, Deposition, Geologic Time, Energy Resources
Chapters 4-10
9 weeks
· Water/Oceans chapters 11-14, Weather and Climate-Chapters 16-18
9 weeks
· Atmosphere- Chapter 15, Astronomy -Chapters 19-21,
9 weeks
· The following skills and concepts will be covered throughout
the
year: The scientific method and process skills, Chemistry,
Graphing, Computer
Skills, and Metric Measurement.
Grading:
Tests/Projects 50%
Labs/Warm-up Quizzes 25%
Homework/Classwork/Participation 20%
Effort 5%
