Fr. Casey and several of our parishioners returned home from Haiti on Monday, November 19th.
This is from Fr. Casey's note in this week's bulletin:
"It is now 8:30am Tuesday morning and Debbie needs this note for the
Bulletin by 10:00am! I arrived home from Haiti at 11:00pm last night (Monday).
It was quite a journey! Like last year, it will have a lasting place in my
mind and heart. Once again I marveled at the faith, hope and love the
people of that land exhibited. This could be seen in so many ways.
The celebration of Mass on Sunday was about two hours in length.
The people, young and old, listened attentively, sang with gusto and
participated fully. It was truly a celebration of faith, hope and love.
On Saturday night, the people of the area gathered at the Clinic to
thank us for spending a few days with them. The music was incredible
and their presence and smiles spoke volumes. I am sure that you
will continue to hear more stories about this ministry to and with our
brothers and sisters in Haiti. It was a graced time for me to be with
other people from our Parish and from some other parishes on this
trip. I thank all of you for you are the ones we represented. In a very real way, you
made it possible, through your prayers and contributions, for us to do many of the
things we were able to do."
